As CEO and President of Whitman Advisory, Phil Whitman leads the nation’s largest advisory organization for CPAs. He leverages extensive contacts in accounting and private equity to help firms find acquirers or, for those remaining independent, provides talent and profit solutions. Phil’s specializations include succession planning, M&A, strategic talent acquisition, and practice management consulting.
A 25-year public accounting veteran, Phil previously served as COO for a Top 30 CPA firm. His management experience ranges from a three-partner firm to a national firm with nearly $100 million in revenue. He maintains relationships with leaders at many Top 100 firms and over 250 others.
Phil is an active NYSSCPAs member, serving as immediate past Chair of the Management of the Profession Oversight Committee, a member of the Large and Medium Firm Practice Management Committee, and former Chair of the Human Resource Committee.
